If you haven’t received your tax refund yet, you can check on the status of it on the IRS website. The IRS has a secure website that allows taxpayers to get information about their refunds. You can access it by going to www.irs.gov and clicking on the appropriate link. You will need to provide your Social Security number, filing status, and the exact whole dollar amount of your refund.

This same website provides all of their tax forms and publications. To access them, click on the Forms and Publications link on the top left corner of the homepage. Some of the more commonly used forms are already listed there for quicker access. When you click on the link it will take you to the Forms and Publications list. Here you can choose to download forms and publications by a number of options. The first option allows you to download by form and instruction number as a PDF. If you choose this option, it gives you a place to find the form by product number (form number), title or revision date. If you know the form number, type in the number and make sure that the product number option is chosen. Since the form is available as a PDF document, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. If you don’t have Adobe, the website provides a link to get a free download of the program.
